I have been a yoga devotion instructor for 11 years now.   A lot has happened in those years, and I know I would not have been able to get through them in the same way without practicing yoga.  When I first started teaching I still had 4 kids in school.  Now they have all graduated college, two are married, one is living in Japan and one is living in Laramie, Wyoming. I have one grandchild.  Surviving all the ups and downs of the 3 girls and a boy in their high school years, I learned a lot about patience from yoga and used it every day.  Getting through the weddings, with all the planning and emotions, I have breathed my way through them.  Helping my daughter deliver that grandchild in Japan, where her husband, her and I, were the only English speaking people, took a lot of courage and a lot of calming breaths.
There never seems to be a dull moment in my life, but I embrace it all, as I live in hope, faith, and God’s unconditional love.  I love being outdoors, as you see in the picture, I am practicing yoga with a group of women called Women On The Edge.  A group started to help us all move just a bit outside of our comfort zone, but with God’s loving arms around us.  We are waiting for a boat to bring us home from 9 days of living totally outside on Isle Royale in the middle of Lake Superior.  Two of the women in that group have now survived a battle with cancer.  Three have since lost their mothers.  Just in the past year, I lost 3 dear people in my life, all in their 50’s.  We never know what is coming next, which is why I always try to live life to the fullest, with God directing.  Peace
